NaSPA Announces NaSTEC 25.1 Annual Conference on Saturday, October 16 at Westin Ohare in Chicago. This year’s NaSTEC Conference promises to be one of the best yet. Having been to every NaSTEC since 1986, I can personally attest that the content lined up is outstanding. Our President, Leo Wrobel, will give the NaSTEC Introduction at 8:30am on Saturday, October 16th followed by a Keynote Address by none other than Bud Bates. The title of his presentation is “Where are the Future Diamonds in Information Technology”. He’s also entertaining and humorous and you’ll never nod-off while he’s talking! You’re in for a very pleasant experience with our Keynote address. Other speakers lined up for our twin-track event include Leo Wrobel President of NaSPa welcoming you to NasTEC 25.1 and speaking on Command and Control Consideration in Disaster Recovery, Bud Bates on Where are the Future Diamonds in Information Technology, Meta Brown on the topic of the Analytics Revolution, John West Hadley on Uncovering the Hidden Job Market, Malinda Bradland on Science and Technologies for Mitigating Natural Disasters, Jeff Snyder on The Ten (10) Steps to Technology Employment, Craigs Lasseigne on From Mainframes to Enterprise Computing and Beyond. If you’re a first timer to NaSTEC you’re in for other surprises, too. For example, at each break we have a drawing and give away computer toys that you’ll love to have! NaSPA computer mice, Binary Digital Clocks, Wi-Fi hot-spot finders, and other items of value have been given away in the past. Come see what we give away this year! At the end of the day those remaining get to partake in a closing ‘Thank You for Attending’ event. In past years we’ve given PC’s away. This year’s give away will be equally worthwhile. Stay tuned and see what we announce for this important event! So make sure you come to NaSTEC 25.1. Lunch is included as are the breaks. The hotel parking has been discounted courtesy of the Westin hotel. NaSPA officers, board members, speakers, sponsors and staff will be there along with the many members that show up. Register now and be there. It’s a great way to spend a fall day in the Chicago area near O’Hare Airport. Come and let me shake your hand. I’ve been around NaSPA for 25 years and it’s time you found an organization that you can belong to and count on for the long term. See you there on October 16, Scott Sherer |
