Be the First to See
Microsoft Office 2003
In today's economic environment companies are looking for new ways
to leverage their existing technology investments, resources and
information in order to retain a competitive edge. To address this
need, Microsoft is offering an interactive, technical preview of
how the new Microsoft Office System can help solve some of today's
critical IT challenges - providing greater access to disparate information;
increasing network and email security; protecting Intellectual property
and enabling customers to be more self-reliant.
Attendees will learn how the new
Microsoft Office System can enable employees to access and share
information securely through the collaboration and information-sharing
portal, Microsoft SharePoint. Microsoft will also demonstrate how
the new Microsoft Office System supports Information Rights Management
(IRM) and industry-standard Extensible Markup Language (XML) to
provide a platform on which IT professionals can quickly build cost-effective,
secure solutions for an immediate impact on their business.
Basic Linux
For those members that want an overview of Linux, this is the place
to come. During this session you understand installation basics:
hardware and software; system functionality and application integration;
and an introduction to networking using TCP/IP and the Internet.
Advanced Linux
So you say your company already has linux and you know the basics
but you’re not quite up to speed on the complexities of the
operating system. This session is a continuation of the basic session
above and is a more in-depth look at hardware issues; which platform
to run it on; Intel, S390, others? Which vendor of Linux to use;
Redhat and others. Advanced networking with Internet Connectivity
WebSphere
WebSphere Application Server (WAS) is fast becoming the leader in
java application servers, especially in using it to enable access
to host based information. This course will describe what WAS is,
where it runs, and how it is typically implemented in the data center
environment. There will be an emphasis on how java connectors can
be used under WAS to web enable backend host systems. Discussions
will include how to install and configure WAS, performance tuning.
and what tools are available for management.
